Born and raised in South Korea, Kwangsook moved to Alaska in 2005.  Married, with three children, she completes most of her painting late at night.  Kwangsook enjoys painting landscapes, wild animals, wildflowers and portraits with watercolor, but is skilled in many other mediums such as oil, acrylic, pastel and pencil.

Locally she has painted several murals including those at the Harbor Street Creamery, Chamber of Commerce, and Chattermark Restaurant.  Kwangsook also completed six acrylic paintings that are displayed at the Seward Post of the American Legion.
