2015 Season Gearing Up

The Seward Mural Society is pleased to announce its 2015 Mural Project with Master Artist Byron Birdsall, who is is an acclaimed and beloved Alaskan artist. His art is recognizable by its hauntingly beautiful style that depicts Alaskan scenes and events.  Equally exciting is the purpose for this project: it honors the upcoming centennial celebration of the National Park Service on August 25, 2016. The Mural Society will be partnering with the Park Service, who is sponsoring the 2015 mural entitled "Kenai Fjords: Where Mountain, Glacier and Ice Meet." The mural will be painted by a public artists group at this year's Seward Music and Arts Festival in September.

In other exciting news, numerous members of the Seward Mural Society will be assisting
another well known Alaskan artist, Ray Troll, in painting a project at the Alaska SeaLife Center this April.

It's going to be a fabulous year here in Alaska's mural capital! Visit this website often for photos, highlights, and announcements!
