In this mural, the artist puts an interesting twist on the powerful earthquake and tsunami which struck Seward in October of 1964. This huge event devastated our town and left Seward isolated from the rest of the state for a considerable period of time, but the men and women of this little, seaside town came together and rebuilt, redefining Seward's role in Alaska.
